From Landscape
For this project, we needed to experiment with exposure compensation while shooting landscapes.  I had a hard time thinking of where to go, until I remembered Lone Elk Park!  Unfortunately, I forgot my tripod at home, but I was able to bump up the ISO when necessary (and turn on a handy Noise Reduction option in my menu) so that I could hand hold the larger aperture shots.

I was lucky enough to get in some shots from a couple different locations before the giant storm clouds started coming in and we figured we had better go in before we got drenched.  And just in time too!

The exposure compensation came in hand the most, I found, when I was under the trees and trying to take a landscape that included both shadowed areas and the bright sky.  I found that the sky was usually blown out unless I dialed down the exposure compensation a little bit.  Then, I was able to get some blue in the sky.
